Band, Baritone Saxophone, Ken Reid
Ken Reid holds B.A. degrees in both Music Education and Jazz Performance from University of Massachusetts/Lowell and is a leading saxophonist in several of the Boston area’s top bands. He has performed with internationally touring bands including Artie Shaw and Tommy Dorsey Orchestras. He can also be heard playing baritone saxophone on the Boston area’s Kenny Hadley Big Band CD “Beautiful Friendship.” In addition, Ken has had the opportunity to work with many widely known artists from Tony Bennett to Aretha Franklin. Most notably, he has performed many times with the Boston Pops at Symphony Hall, Tanglewood, and the Esplanade for the 4th of July celebrations. Recently, he has been working as a member of the popular club band “The Infractions,” and leading his own “Top Shelf Big Band” and “Ken Reid Quintet.”
