2013 Electric Youth, Jenna ~ Age 13
I have been performing since I was young and I want to continue throughout my life!
What do you enjoy most about performing?
I like the challenge of having to put energy in all of my movements and knowing all my performances will be different.
What to you anticipate being your biggest challenge as a member of the ensemble?
I try to remember to be expressive at all times.
What is most fun about being in EY?
It’s being able to share performing experiences with my best friends, bonding together and making memories.
What advice would you give to younger singer-dancers who want to be part of EY someday?
Always be prepared no matter what situation you are in. The best advice I’ve received is to keep going when something doesn’t pan out as expected.
What has being in EY taught you about yourself, as a person and a performer?
EY has taught me to always believe in myself.
What has been your favorite performance venue?
My favorite was Showcase Live (Gillette Stadium), because that’s when I finally realized I was actually in ELECTRIC YOUTH! You need to be aware of your surroundings on stage. I learned about “Global Positioning System” (as I call it) or, as Raye Lynn says, “Global Awareness, friends of mine."
